WHO WE ARE
We are the Emery Ed Fund–the catalyst for partnerships that help our community’s youth and families achieve academic and social success, community connectedness, and full participation in civic life. We mobilize financial support, intellectual connections, and critical human resources to enhance Emery USD’s work.
WHAT WE’VE ACCOMPLISHED
Since the 2007-2008 school year, Emery schools gained 50 points in the state Academic Performance Index (API)—more than any other district in Alameda County. But API scores, by themselves, do not guarantee a successful future. Fortunately, our community—a partnership of community leaders, business leaders and local residents—had the vision to look beyond Emery’s schools and worked together to create a holistic change in our community.
As a community, Emeryville has the will and the resources to help our children achieve their full potential.
OUR GOAL
We are determined to make Emery Unified School District a model for success. The City of Emeryville has benefited from tremendous job growth and major redevelopment projects. But despite the combined efforts of our education leaders, teachers, and school staff, our students have endured systemic inequality and poverty in schools that are deeply underfunded due to cuts in state and federal aid to education. To sustain the Emery Ed Fund programs, our goal is to raise $150,000 from all sources annually.
